“ Fresh Air is a pretty popular soufflé pancake place in the CBD. The pancake itself was jiggly, soft and had a decent amount of toppings. The mochi was chewy and ice cream was not overly sweet. The pancake isn’t as airy as Kumo but I still enjoyed it. There’s limited seating inside and the aircon wasn’t working when we went, which might explain why the staff seemed a little grumpy haha. The iced matcha drinks were good too. Price was a little expensive in imo but worth a try. ”

I also want to take a moment to recognize the amazing team behind the counter. Charlie, Ray, and Zhi Zhi clearly put effort and care into the shop. Their attention to detail, from presentation to balance of flavors, really shows in the final product. They made a pancake for my partner and was both well presented and delicious. They offer the most friendly service and skillful preparation make the experience even better. Even when the store is quiet due to a rainy day in melbourne they still have smiles on and greeting every customer with kindness. We got the chance to get to know them a little more and it was a really sweet and wholesome moment! Overall, the Strawberry Matcha at Air Pancakes is a must-try—refreshing, flavorful, and made with genuine care. I would also recommend the Tiramisu Pancakes. So fluffy and full of flavour!!! ”

“ This is a must try dessert place in CBD!!! And a must try drink is strawberry matcha. They put real strawberry chunks on the drink, not just flavoured syrup. And the souffle biscoft pancake was a hit for me and my friends. Defo coming back to try the other pancake flavours. We only ordered one because were stuffed from dinner. Only downside is the little space and stinky floors, maybe time to upgrade to a different store. ”

“ My husband saw the advertisement on TikTok and wants to try it. Advantage: not like white people’s desert super sweet… is not that over the top sugary which is much more healthy and good! Disadvantages: pricy…. A freshly made pancake with supermarket popcorn,biscuits and syrup… installing together selling it 20+dollars, is not a WOW… but is good ! Hopefully they can actually have a decent table…. Cuz the one inside of the store is really uncomfortable and awkward! ”

“ Tried Fresh Air Pancake and absolutely loved it! The soufflé pancakes are super soft and fluffy — we had the Cookie & Cream with a big Oreo and ice cream, and the new green grape flavor which came with lots of real, fresh grapes. You can watch the whole cooking process, which made it feel clean and trustworthy. The space is bright and welcoming, and the staff were lovely too. Will definitely come back to try more flavors! ”

“ We stumbled across this little gem on our final day in Melbourne. Japanese Soufflé Pancakes! I had the Brown Sugar Boba and Iced Strawberry Matcha and my hubby had the Monthly Special Dark Choc Orange. The pancakes are soooo fluffy! Sweet but not sickly sweet. The matcha was a perfect balance, not too bitter from the matcha and not too sweet from the strawberry. Will be back again next time ”

“ Yum! Just the right amount of sweetness, extremely light and easy to eat. Took about ten minutes before it was ready which I think is pretty quick for these kinds of pancakes! Walked past here many times and stopped by for a breakfast treat.
